Nancy Elizabeth Means Edwards went to
be with her Heavenly Father on September 3, 2010 in Dallas,
TX. She was born August 24, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK to
parents Louis Ryan Means, Jr. and Martha Elizabeth LeFlore
Means. She is survived by sister and brother-in-law Linda
Ann Means and Dr. James B. Lowe of Oklahoma City, OK, son
and daughter-in-law, William R. “Dub” Edwards, II and Shelly
Leigh Cornman Edwards, and daughter, Rani Alexis Edwards
Nelson, three granddaughters, Kaitlyn Noel Nelson, and
Mattie Elizabeth and Alexis Leigh Edwards, and many family
members and close friends. Nancy was a loving mother,
sister, and friend who will be deeply missed. She was kind
to all and happily sacrificed her own needs for her children
and friends. Nancy graduated in 1960 from Classen High
School in Oklahoma City, and attended Tarleton State
University. She had a long career as an unemployment tax
advisor and made many life-long friends along the way.
Oklahoma City services will be held at
3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8, at All Souls Episcopal
Church followed by graveside services at Memorial Park
Cemetery. Viewing will be held at Baggerley Funeral Home on
Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
Dallas services will be held at 3:30 pm
Friday, September 10, at Restland Memorial Cemetery in
Wildwood Chapel.
