Anne Boyd Johnson (Lesesne)

Anne Johnson Lesesne, 73, of Mt. Pleasant passed away at home Sunday, April 12, 2015 after years of
illness from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. Anne was born in Tulsa OK, December 30, 1941, daughter
of the late Mary Knowles and Pat Orr Johnson, and the stepdaughter of the late Rob Roy Macgregor. She
was the beloved wife of Eugene F. Lesesne for 52 years. Anne graduated from Baptist College with a degree
in Nursing, and worked for 22 years in several areas of nursing. She enjoyed teaching nursing assistants at
Trident College the most. Anne was devoted to her Lord and her family. She spent many days in Bible studies
both as a student and teacher, her favorite was the study with the neighborhood girls that helped them grow into
Christian women. Anne loved to read and many times read through the Bible in a one year program. She lived a
Christ-centered life, and all who knew her found her to be a gracious, selfless person, always willing to help anyone
in need. During her years at St. Philips, Anne led many Lay church activities and loved being involved with her family
in the many events. Anne was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by
her children, Angela Lesesne Clark (Joey), and Jessica Lesesne Martin (Jeff), and 5 grandchildren, Larsen Clark
Spinelli (Zack), Rachael Anne Martin, Kristin Lucille Clark, Corey Andrew Martin and Sarah Elizabeth Clark. She is
also survived by her sisters, Mary Moody (Gardner), Elizabeth (Betsy) Johnson, and Patricia Perry (Rick), who will
miss her daily phone chats and Bible studies. Anne also loved her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In
lieu of flowers donations may be made to Arthritis National Research Foundation or St Philips Church, Charleston, SC.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff with Beacon Hospice,
especially Portia Bradford.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, April 18th, 11:00 AM at St Philips Church, 142 Church Street,
Charleston, SC. Burial will be private.
