Hardy Reed, age 64, died at 7:45 p.m. on February 16, 2008 in Specialized Medical Center Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia after a sudden illness. Hardy was born April 2, 1943 to Frank and Floy Reed in Idabel, Oklahoma. Hardy served four years in the U.S. Air Force and two years in The United States Navy. Hardy received his BS in Business Administration and Political Science from University of Central Oklahoma and MBA in Finance and Management from University of Texas at Arlington. Hardy started his career with The Boeing Company in 1986 in Boeing, Mississippi in Human Resources then moved to Wichita in 1989 as Manager of Labor Relations and then Senior Human Resources Manager- Facilities Organization. From 1996-2002 Hardy and Jackie lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he was the Senior Human Resources Manager. Hardy and Jackie moved back to St Louis, Missouri from 2002 until present. At the time of Hardy's death he was in Saudi Arabia working for Boeing Alsalam Aircraft Company as the Senior Human Resources Manager for a short period of time before returning back to St. Louis. He married Jackie McNally on February 12, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She survives at the home in St. Peters, Missouri. He was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by one son, Douglas Hardy Reed of Olathe, Kansas and one daughter, Jennifer Elaine Reed of Wichita, Kansas, three stepsons, Sean Buddenhagen of Pittsburg, Kansas,  Jeff Buddenhagen of California, and Mike Buddenhagen; two stepdaughters, Kristine McGee of Jackson, Mississippi and Tracey Kukovich of Arma, Kansas; 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Travis Reed, Daphne, Alabama and Franklin Reed, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Hardy was cremated according to his wishes. Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House Fund and may be sent to Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas.
